I am a kidney tra...I applaude you for your opinion. I am a kidney transplant patient who was seated by a lung transplant patient who reeked of smoke. I had to move. I was so angry that he had no respect for the person who gave him life. <br />Most people don't understand or know how hard it is to be a compliant patient...we are given diets. It is not easy and it certainly is not fun not being able to eat what you used to be able to eat. But, you know it is what will keep you alive and in the best shape for a transplant. <br />I agree, if you do not have enough respect to do what you are supposed to do as a pre transplant, then give that organ to someone who does.
